budget, the Sony and Columbia film should crane-kick to a tidy profit.<\/p>\n

who starred as Daniel LaRusso in the original 1984 classic and its<\/p>\n

sequels, returns to the big screen alongside action icon Jackie Chan, who co-starred in 2010\u2019s<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Karate Kid\u201d<\/p>\n

opposite a young Jaden Smith. \u201cLegends\u201d introduces newcomer<\/p>\n

Ben Wang, a Chinese teen who moves to New York City and learns karate from Chan\u2019s Mr. Han and Macchio\u2019s LaRusso to win the Five<\/p>\n

Boroughs karate tournament. The cast also includes Ming-Na Wen, Joshua Jackson,<\/p>\n

Sadie Stanley, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff, Shaunette Ren\u00e9e Wilson and more.<\/p>\n

However, Disney and Rideback\u2019s live-action remake of \u201cLilo & Stitch\u201d<\/p>\n

will reign over the box office for the second weekend in a row. It\u2019s<\/p>\n

expected to make more than $60 million in its second weekend, after setting a record last week for the biggest launch over Memorial<\/p>\n

Day weekend. Paramount and Skydance\u2019s \u201cMission: Impossible \u2013 The Final Reckoning\u201d will put up a fight against<\/p>\n

\u201cKarate Kid: Legends,\u201d<\/p>\n

and the Tom Cruise action movie aims to make $30 million in its second frame.<\/p>\n

Also opening this weekend is the A24 horror \u201cBring Her Back,\u201d which is looking to scare<\/p>\n

up $6 million in its debut. It\u2019s directed by Michael<\/p>\n

and Danny Philippou, who directed the 2022 horror hit \u201cTalk to Me.\u201d<\/p>\n
