Income was uncertain and every day depended on passing customers.<\/p>\n As manufacturing expanded across Sriperumbudur, so did her customer base.<\/p>\n \u201cThe growth of industries in our area has contributed significantly to our business,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n \u201cEmployees from Samsung plant and other factories visit our shop regularly, helping us build a steady customer base.\u201d<\/p>\n Today, alongside her husband\u2019s water-can supply business, the family earns enough to educate all three of their children\u2014an aspiration that once seemed out of reach.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n One Tailoring Shop. As the region developed into a major manufacturing hub, demand steadily increased.<\/p>\n \u201cMany employees from Samsung regularly visit my shop, and women from nearby communities are among my regular customers,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n What began as a small tailoring unit has grown into an Aari embroidery centre and a beauty parlour, creating employment for three women.<\/p>\n \u201cI started this business with my mother\u2019s support,\u201d she says. \u201cToday, it feels rewarding to see it creating opportunities for others too.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Meals That Support Ten Families<\/strong><\/p>\n For Daisy Rani, progress can be counted in the number of people working in her kitchen.<\/p>\n Daisy Rani with her employees at her fast food joint<\/p>\n When she opened her small eatery nearly a decade ago, she employed just one person.<\/p>\n Today, ten people earn their livelihood there.<\/p>\n \u201cMany workers from the plants nearby and people from the surrounding community visit us every day,\u201d she says. \u201cTheir continued support has helped our business grow steadily.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Opportunity One Generation Missed<\/strong><\/p>\n Industrial growth has transformed livelihoods, but it has also changed something even more fundamental\u2014access to education.<\/p>\n When Gowri was growing up, the nearest school was too far away for her family to continue her education.<\/p>\n Gowri at her home<\/p>\n \u201cI wanted to study further, but my parents were worried because the school was too far away,\u201d she recalls. \u201cI had to stop my education.\u201d<\/p>\n Determined that her children would have different opportunities, she watched Sriperumbudur change around her.<\/p>\n Today, her son and daughter attend a good school just three kilometres from home.<\/p>\n \u201cFactories coming here brought development. My children have opportunities I never had.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Dreaming Bigger<\/strong><\/p>\n That transformation is perhaps best reflected in the aspirations of the next generation.<\/p>\n Kowsalya, a Class XII student, dreams of becoming financially independent while pursuing her passion for drawing.<\/p>\n Kowsalya scored excellent marks in her class 10 exams<\/p>\n \u201cMy parents often tell me how difficult education was when they were young,\u201d she says. \u201cToday, school is close to home, and I want to continue studying and build a career of my own.\u201d<\/p>\n Her ambitions reflect the confidence of a generation growing up in a region transformed by opportunity.<\/p>\n Thirty Years of Growing with India<\/strong><\/p>\n As Samsung celebrates 30 years in India, the company\u2019s journey has been defined by long-term investments in manufacturing, innovation and people.<\/p>\n For nearly two decades, Samsung\u2019s manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur has been part of the region\u2019s remarkable transformation.
