TOURISM MALAYSIA CHENNAI AND THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF MALAYSIA OFFICIALLY UNVEIL VISIT MALAYSIA 2026–2027 LOGO !

Chennai, 5 August 2026 – Tourism Malaysia Chennai, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Malaysia, officially unveiled the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 (VMY 2026–2027) logo at Asia Kitchen, Chennai, marking another milestone in Malaysia’s tourism promotion efforts in South India.
The highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 logo by Mr. Saravana Kumar, Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, together with Mr. Hishamuddin Mustafa, Director of Tourism Malaysia Chennai. The ceremony symbolised Malaysia’s commitment to welcoming more international visitors while strengthening tourism ties with the South Indian market.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Hishamuddin Mustafa said:
“South India remains one of our most important source markets. With the extended visa-free entry and the new VMY 2026–2027 logo, we are confident of achieving stronger arrival numbers and deeper collaboration with our trade partners.”
“Tourism Malaysia will continue to work closely with airlines, agents, and stakeholders to promote Malaysia’s unique experiences in culture, nature, shopping and gastronomy.”
Also addressing the gathering, Mr. Saravana Kumar said:
“Malaysia and South India share long-standing cultural and economic ties. We welcome more Indian travellers to experience Truly Asia.”
“The extension of visa-free travel until December 2027 will further strengthen people-to-people connections and boost tourism between our two nations.”
During the event, guests were informed that Malaysia’s visa-free entry facility for Indian nationals has been extended until the end of December 2027, providing greater convenience for travellers to experience Malaysia’s diverse tourism offerings.
The event was attended by senior officials from the Consulate General of Malaysia in Chennai, along with airline representatives, travel trade partners and key tourism stakeholders.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt farewell and appreciation ceremony in honour of Mr. Shahrim Tan, Deputy Director, Tourism Malaysia Chennai, recognising his invaluable contributions in promoting Malaysia as a preferred destination in South India and Sri Lanka.
